WHATS THE STORY?

Very Reasonable Parents is a collection of twelve images I felt best represented my parents and the culture they instilled in our household growing up. There are many things that have occurred (and continue to do so) in our family that make very little sense to an external audience, but which hold great significance or meaning to us. Each of these images touches on a specific experience, tradition, or inside joke, and captures it in our typical goofy family way!

I shot this series on 35mm film, which I developed myself, and printed at 8x10" in a traditional darkroom. The images you see here are scans of the original prints, and are unedited to preserve the imperfections of the process.
